What’s the best pearl jewellery to wear for a wedding?
Weddings are such a personal thing. Some like lavish weddings with jewellery to match but our approach at LILY & ROO has always been to keep our wedding jewellery subtle, stylish and with a nod to the classic and timeless pieces of the past. Often our necklaces, bracelets and earrings feature a single pearl or maybe just a few but rarely are they absolutely covered in pearls. We source the very best materials so we know that a bride, bridesmaid or mother of the bride can continue to wear their piece for many years to come. This is why you should always choose wedding jewellery that you will wear again in the future. Although our wedding collection starts at a very reasonable price point, you still don't want to buy a piece that'll simply get put in a drawer and never seen again! LILY & ROO's jewellery is all designed to complement any outfit, from every-day-wear to a beautiful flowing wedding dress. So, keep your wedding jewellery simple and stylish, classic and clean and that way, the main focus will be exactly where it is supposed to be... on you!
What are huggies/huggie hoop earrings?
Huggie hoop earrings or just ‘Huggies’ as they’re sometimes referred to, are hooped earrings that do exactly as they suggest and hug the earlobe. LILY & ROO’s huggie hoop earrings are designed to have very little to no gap between the earring and the earlobe itself. Huggies are such a popular piece of jewellery because they are a modern take on a very classic design hooped design. Our huggies come in all different shapes, including jagged or stacked baguette crystals, large round crystals in a cluster formation, or a simple row of genuine diamonds/crystals, however, they are all made to the same internal diameter to make sure they fit your ear perfectly. They are comfortable enough to wear every single day!
What’s the best chain length to choose when it comes to pendant necklaces?
Choosing the right chain length can be tricky. Often, the length of the chain is down to individual taste, however, there are a few basic bits of information that can help you choose the right chain length. At LILY & ROO we offer three different chain lengths as standard, 16inch (41cm), 18inch (46cm) and 20inch (51cm). The 18inch (46cm) is the most commonly worn length and sits a couple of inches below the collarbone. This is the length you should choose if you really aren’t sure what recipient might want. It’s a great middle ground and has a classic look. 16inch chains (41cm) have a slightly more modern and stylish look to them. They sit about an inch below the collarbone but aren’t so high they look out of place with a large pendant on them. Having said that, this length chain is better suited for smaller, more delicate pendants. Finally, we have the 20inch (51cm) chain length, which is perfect for our lockets and more meaningful pendants, such as the Virgin Mary or St Christopher. This is because it allows the wearer to hold the piece more easily, whilst it’s still on. These are often popular for with older customers. LILY & ROO can source longer or shorter chains if we don’t have what you’re looking for so please just email if you have any bespoke requirements.
